Corrections is assuring the public about the integrity of its staff, after a former prison guard today admitted taking contraband into Waikato's Spring Hill Prison. Mila Matuiofiga will be sentenced next year, after being dismissed from his job after reportedly being found with drugs during a routine search. Corrections spokesman Terry Buffery says he takes fraudulent behaviour very seriously, and it's hugely upsetting when one individual fails to live up to the Department's usual high standards.
