18-year-old facing robbery charges

A 18-year-old Manukau resident has appeared in the North Shore District Court today charged with robbery following a recent bag snatch in Milford.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Wong Woo says the North Shore has seen very little handbag theft activity, until the past week when three incidents occurred within a space of days.

He says CCTV footage greatly assisted the police in identifying and apprehending the offender.
