Man accused of killing teenager to appear in court

A man accused of running over and killing a teenager on the night of the Rugby World Cup final is appearing in the Auckland District Court today.

17-year-old Sanele Pauli was hit by a car in Auckland the early hours of Labour Day last year.

He had just stepped off a bus in Great North Road in Point Chevalier.

The man appearing in court today is charged with driving with excess blood alcohol causing death, driving while disqualified and aggravated careless driving causing death.
