Leg-breaking father told to 'keep nose clean'

| Latest Crime News | Tuesday August 28 2012 16:53

A Hawke's Bay father who recently avoided jail after breaking his daughter's legs, has been told by a Hastings judge, he needs to keep his nose clean.

Earlier this month, James Hall was sentenced to 12 months' home detention after being convicted for assaulting his daughter and fracturing her legs in five places.

In Hastings District Court today, Hall faced one charge of breaching community work in relation to three driving-related convictions.

Judge Bridget Mackintosh convicted and discharged Hall but gave him a final warning.
