Trio arrested after stabbing at Opotiki party

Three men have been arrested after a man suffered stab wounds to his back and lower body during an altercation at a party in Opotiki overnight.

The victim is in Whakatane Hospital and police say his condition is no longer appears to be life threatening..

Two 16-year-olds and a 22-year-old have been charged with various offences, including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police still want to hear from anyone with information about the stabbing.
