Police looking for Napier woman who witnessed assault last night

Police would like a woman, who witnessed a serious assault in Napier last night, to come forward.

The unidentified woman was driving an orange vehicle on Kenny Road just after 7pm when she saw a man assault a woman.

Detective Lisa Tod of the Hawke's Bay Family Violence Team says the woman is a crucial witness in the case, which is now before the Hastings District Court.

Anyone with information should contact Hastings Police.
