Explosives found in Hamilton home

| Latest Crime News | Friday May 4 2012 10:19

A man's facing drugs charges after explosives were found at his Hamilton home.

Neighbours were evacuated and a cordon was set up as police carried out a search of the Hillcrest property yesterday.

The 26-year-old is expected to appear in the Hamilton District Court today in relation to importing Class B and C drugs.

Detective Inspector Karl Thornton says as well as explosives, chemicals and equipment were removed from the house for analysis.

A search of the property will continue today.
