Bank staff shaken after attempted robbery

Bank staff have been left shaken after an attempted robbery on the main street of Otaki this morning.

Police say a man walked in to the ANZ bank at around 9.30am, wearing a black balaclava.

Staff say he threatened with a firearm but left empty handed.

The man was also wearing a yellow high visibility jacket and police are looking for any sightings of him.
