Midwife found guilty of misconduct

By: Natasha Burling | Latest Crime News | Friday August 3 2012 14:46

A Palmerston North midwife has been found guilty of professional misconduct.

The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has also found Patricia Mason guilty of not holding a current Annual Practising Certificate.

She has been ordered to pay a fine of $500.

If Ms Mason works as a midwife again, she'll have to be under supervision for two years.

She'll also have to undergo eight weeks of clinical assessment and will need to do courses in CPR, technical skills and breastfeeding.
