Chch police investigate teenage rape

Christchurch police are investigating the rape of a teenage girl in Redwood.

The girl was attacked in Ramore Reserve in the suburb around 11 pm on Monday night.

Detective Sergeant Richard Quested says the girl didn't suffer serious injuries.

He says the offender is described as a male Caucasian, possibly wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and jeans.

Police are anxious to hear from anyone in the vicinity of the reserve and Ramore Place - who may have heard or seen anything unusual at the time.
