Search warrants executed after firearms theft

Police have executed a number of search warrants in Wairarapa following the theft of firearms from a Masterton property.

Nine firearms were taken from the property in a burglary on July 3.

Detective Senior Sergeant Sean Hansen says they've been searching a number of properties in Masterton and Carterton.

He says charges relating to possession of ammunition has been laid against a 24-year-old Carterton man and two other men, aged 28 and 26, face a number of cannabis offences.
