St George station compromised 300 investigations

By: ARN | Latest Crime News | Sunday April 15 2012 13:47

An internal inquiry has been launched into claims senior police have been fudging crime figures at one of Sydney's biggest police stations.

The Telegraph claims officers at St George Local Area Command downgraded robberies to 'lost property' and break-and-enters to 'trespassing' in a bid to artificially reduce crime.

It claims up to 300 investigations have been compromised.
