Eighty jobs lost in Blenheim

The EPMU says more than 80 jobs have gone at an Air New Zealand subsidiary operation in the South Island.

Spokesman Strachan Crang says 84 jobs have been lost at Safe Air in Blenheim.

He says Air New Zealand has told workers the redundancies are the result of existing contracts coming to an end and the high New Zealand dollar.
