Price of gas set to change

| Business News | Wednesday October 24 2012 11:00

The price of gas is set to change depending on who is your provider.

The Commerce Commission is proposing default price-quality paths for gas pipeline services.

The affected gas transmission businesses are Vector and Maui Development.

The affected gas distribution businesses are Vector, Powerco and Gasnet.

Under the proposal, some businesses will be required to charge less for their services while some will be able to charge more.

It means a reduction of 25 percent for Vector's transmission business to an increase of five percent for Powercoâ s distribution business.
