Decline in spending on fuel

There has been a decline in spending on fuel and non retail items.

That has seen overall debt and credit card spending drop 0.2 percent in March.

The latest figures shows non retail spending down $21 million and $16 million drop on fuel.

There's been a $12 million rise in spending in the hospitality industry.
