Buffett meets with shareholders over health concerns

By: Annabel Reid | Business News | Monday May 7 2012 12:23

The Sage of Omaha has reassured shareholders the company has a healthy future, despite being not very healthy himself.

Warren Buffett, the chairman and CEO of life insurance company Berkshire Hathaway met with more than 30,000 people at the AGM in Omaha, Nebraska, in the weekend.

Business correspondent Roger Kerr says Mr Buffett told the crowd he's feeling good.

He says the big worry for shareholders is when the 81-year-old, who has prostate cancer, steps down.

Mr Kerr says Mr Buffett focused on the future of the company, with or without him at the helm.
