Kiwis have great work-life balance

| Business News | Wednesday May 30 2012 6:59

New Zealand is being praised for having one of the best work-life balances in the world.

A survey by Regus shows the work-life balance for New Zealand business people has improved over the past two years.

The survey polled over 16,000 business professionals in more than 80 countries, asking them how they manage to balance their work with their personal life.

Regus regional vice president for New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia, William Willems, says New Zealand has performed very well in the survey.

"Well above average, and I think as well the productivity level is interesting because it's ahead compared to Australia, it's ahead compared to China, and the rest of the world."

Mr Willems says the survey's shown 74 percent of New Zealand respondents are happier in their jobs than they were in 2010.

"They're happy to work hard, but they also want to have an employer that gives them the flexibility to accommodate their private time."
