NZ China Council launched

By: Sam Thompson | Business News | Thursday July 5 2012 16:18

The New Zealand China Council has been launched, as an umbrella body to bring together leading New Zealanders engaged with China.

Incoming Chairman Sir Don McKinnon says it's aimed at coordinating public and private sector efforts to ensure New Zealandâ s relationship with China reaches its full potential.

He says the Council will also provide the platform for a high level New Zealand - China Partnership Forum, with events planned for Beijing later this year.

Sir Don says a search will be launched for an Executive Director to help run the Council.
