ASB bank has revised its expected inflation increase downwards, following a one percent drop in food prices in March. It's now picking a 0.5-percent lift in the Consumer Price Index on Thursday, forecast down from 0.6-percent. ASB says it was expecting food prices to increase 0.3-percent, and as it's a large component of the CPI, it's nudged expectations down. |
