SkyCity appoints new communications manager

The man who was the chief of staff for labour Leader Phil Goff is now SkyCity's new communications manager.

SkyCity Entertainment has today confirmed its hired Gordon-Jon Thompson as its manager of corporate communications.

Mr Thompson's previously worked as a research director for UMR - the company that does Labour polling.

His appointment comes at a time when Labour's been attacking SkyCity's dealings with the Government over the proposed Auckland city convention centre .
