Canes vow to show improvement against Crusaders

By: Radio Sport staff | Latest News | Saturday June 30 2012 17:56

The Hurricanes are vowing to show improvements the second time around against the Crusaders in Super Rugby in Christchurch.

The Crusaders wiped the floor with the Hurricanes in week nine with an impressive 42-14 win in Wellington.

Coach Mark Hammett says they've changed immensely since that thrashing.

"We saw that a week or two after we played them. One thing this team has done really, really well is learnt lessons quickly, we've had several to learn throughout the season but we generally haven't seen the same mistakes sneak up and smack us."

Meanwhile the Crusaders are singing the praises of soon to be centurion Wyatt Crockett.

Tonight's game against the Hurricanes will be the prop's 100th appearance for the franchise.

Coach Todd Blackadder says he's the ultimate team man.

"He epitomises everything about this team, he's a much loved member of the team and the guys really enjoy his company, there's a lot of laughter around him, he's just grown into a great guy with huge maturity."

Kick off's at 7.35.
