Child hit by bus in Rotorua

A child knocked from his scooter in Rotorua has been airlifted to Starship Hospital.

The 9-year-old boy was was crossing Ranolf Street near the skate park late this morning when he collided with a bus.

He received a severe knock to his head causing a brain injury.

Rotorua police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the accident - which happened about 11am.
