Sofia Vergara is too busy to plan her wedding.

The 40-year-old actress has confirmed recent speculation that she and partner Nick Loeb got engaged on a recent holiday to celebrate her birthday but she insists she is in no hurry to wed as she is tied up with her commitments to 'Modern Family'.

She told Celebuzz: "I haven't started planning anything because everything has been very recent.

"I am kind of, you know, working a lot - I just started the 'Modern Family' season - so I don't know yet (when I will get married). No plans."

Sofia and Nick, 36, were joined by around 90 friends - including 'Modern Family' stars Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Hyland - for the birthday trip to the Mayan ruins in Chichen Itza, Mexico, and the brunette beauty had a wonderful time.

She said: "It was amazing!"

Sofia - who has 20-year-old son Manolo with first husband Joe Gonzalez - also admitted she is thinking of starting a family with Nick.

The actress - whose 'Modern family' character Gloria is pregnant - said: "It's something that maybe one day I'll do again. I wouldn't mind...

"I mean, I think I can still do it. But you know, when you want to do something like that, you want to do it right, at the right moment, so I am taking it easy, so maybe when I have a little less work."
