Canterbury beaten in women's cricket

Wellington has won the women's domestic Twenty20 cricket title, beating Canterbury in the final in Rangiora.

The Blaze have won by 38 runs after scoring 155 for two in their 20 overs, thanks to 83 not out from White Fern Sophie Devine and an unbeaten 58 from Lauren Ebsary.

In reply, Canterbury could manage only 117 for nine in its allotted overs, with Hayley Jensen top scoring with 28.

Canterbury gets another chance at a title in the one-day final against Auckland tomorrow.
