Turner to appeal conviction for killing Emily Longley

By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest News | Saturday June 30 2012 20:01

Convicted killer Elliot Turner is appealing his conviction for murdering his British-born New Zealand girlfriend Emily Longley.

The 21-year-old was last month sentenced by a British court to a minimum jail term of 16 years.

An application has now been lodged to overturn the conviction and sentence.

A High Court judge will decide whether to grant Turner leave to appeal.
