Man's death being treated as suspicious

By: Nina Burton | Latest News | Saturday June 30 2012 13:14

Police are investigating what led to the death of a 59-year-old man at a house in the South Auckland suburb of Manurewa.

Neighbours have reported hearing shouting and commotion at the Primrose Place home in the early hours of this morning.

When police arrived they found the victim unconscious, and attempts at CPR were unsuccessful.

Police know there was disorder at the house, and Detective Gary Hill says officers are trying to establish exactly what happened.

"Police are obviously now carrying out a scene examination, speaking to witnesses, just to establish the facts surrounding the death of the 59-year-old male."

The man's death is being treated as suspicious.
