At 12:51pm on Tuesday 22 February, 2011, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Christchurch. Buildings collapsed, roads were ripped up, and people's livelihoods were ruined. 185 people were killed as a result of the quake, and the economic cost is in the billions.
As we mark the one year anniversary, Newstalk ZB looks back at that day which brought together a city and a nation. Mike Hosking and Kerre Woodham will be broadcasting their programmes from Christchurch on Wednesday. Mike Yardley will bring you the earthquake memorial service, which will be live on 100.1FM and 1098AM in Christchurch and streaming online. Danny Watson will be crossing to Mike Yardley throughout the afternoon. And here at NewstalkZB.co.nz we have photos, videos, audio, opinion and the chance to share your thoughts and memories.
