The Wellington Phoenix have tightened their grip on second spot in football's A-League with a 2-1 away victory over Adelaide United.
All the scoring was done in the first half with midfielders Tim Brown and Dani Sanchez scoring for the visitors, after they went down to an early goal from Adelaide.
It's the third consecutive away win for the Phoenix after breaking their season-long drought on the road.
Coach Ricki Herbert says they know they can win away now.
He says they've got belief when they go on the road that they can claim victories and the win is especially pleasing after a previously poor record at the ground.
The Phoenix are four points clear of third-placed Brisbane Roar on the competition ladder.
