NZ ports more productive than Australia's

New Zealand ports, including Auckland's, are outperforming Australia's on productivity.

The data's confirmed in official advice papers to the Minister of Transport.

They show productivity and charges at the main container ports of Auckland, Tauranga, and Lyttelton, are comparable if not better than Australia's main container ports.

However, on the downside, the papers say Australasian ports have lower productivity than many overseas ports.
